I just finished doing the head gaskets on my '96 A6, and I have several gallons of chemicals that I don't know what to do with. I want to dispose of it properly. It is a mixture of oil, coolant, water, ATF, de-greaser, brake cleaner, other solvents, and engine crud (sometimes all together, sometimes isolated in their own containers.)

The oil that's by itself, sure, I can take that to Autozone, etc. What about the rest?

I had to figure this out a while ago on my own for disposing of some expired resin.

Every city has hazardous materials drop off locations and some have pickups. Automotive liquids are almost always allowed.

Example:

I am not sure where you live but I know there is one in Gilbert at like Greenfield and Queen Creek, I think. They are only open certain days and not many hours. Town of Gilbert Hazardous Waste Site
